How is the RACK delivered?
The products are supplied as a kit and can be assembled in 1-4 hours (depending on the number of modules). Installation in the vehicle is possible in just a few minutes.
Can I also use the BOXIO-RACK when my rear seats are installed?
Yes, this is basically possible! Whether the BOXIO-RACK works in combination with your rear seat bench depends largely on the height of your folded seats, here are the most important details for your planning:
- Standard dimensions: The BOXIO-RACK has a fixed height of 37 cm. If your folded seats do not exceed this height, the system can be easily positioned above them.
- Flexibility through accessories: If your seats are higher, we offer optional additional feet. With these, you can simply raise the RACK (and therefore your BED) to create the necessary clearance.
- Important note on width: Please note that when using the additional feet, the overall width of the system increases by the width of the feet. Therefore, measure your trunk precisely in advance to ensure that everything fits perfectly.
Can the telescopic pull-out also be used as a ladder?
No, the telescopic pull-out is installed on the BED and serves to stabilize the slatted frame. It is not a telescopic ladder and the individual rungs cannot be locked in place. The struts of the pull-out are made of aluminum and the connecting pieces are made of plastic.
Can the RACK be installed on its own?
Yes, we have designed the components so that no single module weighs more than 17 kg. With the RACK BUNDLE, for example, the BOX can be carried separately, then the BED is connected with star grip screws. The individual boxes are placed next to each other and do not have to be carried together either.
Does the installation have to be approved by TÜV?
No, as it is a load in the vehicle, it does not have to be approved by the TÜV.
Can the bed also be used in vehicles with less than 2 m of free space?
Yes, you can either not mount the last element of the slatted frame or leave it folded in. With this variant, the length of the bed is approx. 1.77 m.
Can any Eurobox be stowed or only the BOXIO products?
You can store any Eurobox with the dimensions 30x40x28 cm. If you buy a bed or bundle with storage space for 3 BOXIOs, a 60x40x28 cm will also fit under the large BED or in the large BOX module. There is still enough space at the top for the cutting board to remain on the Euroboxes.
How are BOX and BED connected to each other?
The two elements are connected to each other with star grip screws.
How is the RACK attached?
Both the RACK Box and the RACK BED have attachment points for a lashing strap. The strap should be connected to an eyelet or similar in the car so that nothing can slip. If the modules are in the trunk and the seat bench in front of them is folded up, this is also sufficient for stability. Otherwise, lashing must be ensured.
Can I also use the BED as a seat?
In principle, the lying surface can also be used as a seat (not while driving). The load limit of 100 kg must be observed. However, the folding mechanism does not allow upright positioning or use as a backrest.

Delivery and support work as they should. Regarding the product: very elegant, simple solutions. A second elastic band on the back of the box would be desirable to provide a little more stability when sliding in the second Eurobox. The milled parts are very precise overall, and there are enough screws, etc. For the gas stove, clean deburring of the laser-cut parts would be an advantage. All in all, though, it’s a well-made product at a high price…but that’s probably also due to the production volumes… so you really have to want it 😜. I’m very satisfied and will treat myself to one or two more items. Finally, kudos to the design team and marketing: guys, you’re doing a great job—keep it up!

The Boxio bed is basically a good thing.
In my opinion, the single leg is too unstable.
Unfortunately, the customer service is unsatisfactory.I waited nearly 4 weeks for missing screws and didn’t really receive any understanding or compensation for the weekends that, unfortunately, couldn’t be spent with the Boxio bed.

The hinges are made of brass and aren’t particularly sturdy; they bend easily.
At this price, they could have used better materials.

Small screws were missing from the delivery—exactly one per BED; with two BEDs, that makes two missing small screws—annoying

The box is fairly easy to assemble. For the price, I find the hinges to be of poor quality, and the panel connectors are only loosely secured with the Allen wrench. The angle required to tighten the straight screw with the angled Allen wrench is a real hassle... This is an area that needs improvement. On some panels, the threads are already tapped; on others, they aren’t… I think, at this price, it would be reasonable for all of them to be pre-tapped. Since you’re actually not supposed to be assembled with a cordless screwdriver.
Once assembled, I’m very happy with the box. It fits perfectly in the V-Class, is very sturdy, and the storage solution with the opening into the passenger compartment is exceptionally well designed. I can still highly recommend it. I’d be happy if the improvements are incorporated and become apparent.

Basically a good idea that works well for my purposes, but the time-consuming assembly of the box and the quality of some components, in my opinion, don’t justify the very high price (€450).

Basically, a very good product. Someone really put some thought into this and developed something great.
Unfortunately, there are a few things about Boxio that detract from the overall impression.
Since I wasn’t sure after taking measurements whether the L bundle or the XL bundle would fit better, I contacted support.
The response was completely unhelpful.
Since I was certain that the Bundle L would definitely fit, I ordered it.
The order showed: 1 BED L, 1 BED M, and 2 additional legs.
Since I assumed this was correct, I placed the order.
The delivery arrived after 10 weeks.
Assembly is relatively easy using the instructions. However, threading the screws in exactly is difficult because they tend to get jammed. Precise work is important here, though, because otherwise it’s impossible to screw the parts together. This should be reviewed to see to what extent this can already be done at the factory.
One screw was missing from each of the slatted frames.
The worst part, however, was that a total of 3 additional legs were needed to assemble the beds, and one was missing.
An additional leg would have had a 6-week delivery time and cost 59 euros.
A trip to the local hardware store yielded a suitable board for 8,10 euros; the trip, cutting the board to size, and drilling the necessary holes were all done in just under 3 hours.
Conclusion: A very good and well-designed product; the service could use some improvement.
